Showing the girls the wonders of "I Can Has Cheezburger" and found this guy. I want him so bad I could die from it.

We actually got a guinea pig, though. Have to have caged animals here in the new apartment so I went to the pet store and came home with Tommy, as the girls have named him. But we actually mostly just call him Pig. It works. And he's a messy smelly little guy so it works on a few levels even. Fun though for them. They can't wait to come home every day and see him. He's like a rockstar. A tiny, stinky little rockstar.

I'm a little too tired for a full catching-up entry here, but wanted to eke out a quick howdy to any of you who still stop by. I miss you all a ton and send big long-distance hugs and kisses -- unless of course you're a stranger who happened onto this page. Then you just get a weird look and a handshake.

Came across this picture the other day sorting out odds and ends from the old computer. It always makes me laugh. Santa's face knocks me to the floor every time.

Reminds me of the old Flash department caption contest... :D

And Jill, sorry but I couldn't help but post it.

So, that behind us... not a lot of new stuff. Work is an out of control tornado as usual, but I still love it there. The guys I work with crack me up and are always sweet about teaching me new stuff, even though the kubuntu thing is turning out to be a huge pain in the back end. (sorry, that was a really nerdy joke. I'll try to keep those to a minimum...)

The girls are doing good. Romy's star of the week at school so I had to take her for an emergency WalMart run for a big huge poster board to stick pictures and an ass-load of Pokemon stickers to (thank you Harrisons -- :D )

oooh, that reminds me, thank you Doug and anonymous for your poetic additions to the last blog entry. That was fun. I never know if anyone's actually reading these posts, since I'm so terrible about keeping up with it. You'd think with the amount of time I spend on the computer I could squeeze out a blog entry here and there. seriously.

But with the days so nice it's hard even for me to sit for too long. Dane got Romy a scooter for her birthday so now the girls can go out and scooter it up together outside. We've got a cool little runway for them, and there's a little goose pond at the one end, and they spend a lot of time over there talking about god knows what and peeking over the fence. I love this place so much and can't be happier we moved here. I mean the Kmart traffic and whatnot really blows but my bed's so damned uncomfortable anyway what's a little traffic noise? haha.

And Susie, if you're reading this I took your advice and moved my "bed" into the middle of the room by the window and it did kind of make it all a bit friendlier. I mean it's still a crappy futon mattress on the floor but if I had a cool curtain or something I think you guys were right that it would look a lot homier. I'm trying to put together a crazy quilt, too, to replace the ugly pilly Family Dollar disaster I'm using currently. That'll be really cool, but it's sort of funny, like a slow-motion design show. No budget and it takes like three years till you see any progress. :D

Let's just hope I don't screw up and move again before then... ugh.

OK, this is getting long. Nobody to talk to tonight, can you tell?

Love you all, and I'll try to check in again soon.
